The dog accidentally swam away from its owner on a boat.
Police in Auckland, New Zealand, had to rescue a dog named Huxley who embarked on an unplanned sea adventure.
The animal was sitting on a boat, and the owner, busy with their tasks, didn’t immediately notice that the small vessel had come loose and drifted away. When the mishap was finally noticed, the owner, in despair, called the police. Authorities quickly located Huxley, who was drifting about 400 meters from the shore. Fortunately, the dog didn’t panic or attempt to jump into the water to return to its owner on its own.
Overall, Huxley surprised everyone with its calm demeanor. The police even joked that the dog seemed to have enjoyed the outing, considering the beautiful weather that day. However, it is worth noting that when the canine found itself back on land, standing on all fours and reunited with its owner, it was ecstatically happy. Perhaps being alone on the boat was a bit lonely after all.
