In New Jersey, one special graduate received a diploma – a service dog of a student.

The dog attended all of his owner’s classes.

The graduation ceremony at Seton Hall University in New Jersey, USA, was marked by an unusual event.

Grace Mariani, a student who received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education, arrived not alone but accompanied by her dog named Justin. It’s not surprising, as Justin is a therapy service dog, and he provided companionship to his owner during all her classes.

So, the four-legged student was also honored. Justin was awarded an honorary diploma for being present in all the lectures. Grace shared that her beloved dog will continue to be her companion in her future career. She plans to work as a teacher in elementary and special education.
