US police officers saved a bear that got trapped in a car.

A rope helped safely release the animal.

A scary yet comical incident occurred in Nevada. A massive bear climbed into an SUV in search of food and got trapped inside. The car doors locked, and the animal couldn’t get out on its own.

“Never know what the next call might be.” Under this headline, employees of the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office posted a video on social media showing the rescue of the giant bear from the crossover. The owner of the vehicle called the office and informed them about the unwelcome guest. The responding police officers had to show resourcefulness.

They tied several ropes together, attached one end to the car door handle, and stretched the other end as far as possible, securing it to a tree. With the trapped animal, there was the risk of unpredictable behavior. Fortunately, everything ended well. As soon as the car doors were opened, the bear leaped out and ran away.

In the video below, you can see that the visit from the forest guest caused significant damage to the vehicle. The rear seat is torn apart, and upholstery remnants hang from the ceiling. The sheriff’s office advised that bears are particularly active in the spring. It’s important not to leave food, wrappers, or scented items in cars. And, of course, under no circumstances should anyone attempt to feed bears!
