It seems like these birds are starting to understand our language! What’s happening?
The parrot family shared a video of its cute reaction after its owner Jeff bumped his head while doing repairs in the kitchen…
In the video, the African Grey parrot named Einstein watches Jeff fixing something under the kitchen cabinets, and when he notices Jeff hit his head, he concernedly asks, “Are you okay?”, to which Jeff replies, “Yes, I’m fine. Thanks for asking.”
The owners of Einstein wrote in the video’s description: “Jacques, or African Grey parrots like Einstein, are extremely intelligent, and Einstein has a large vocabulary that he often uses in context.” But as it turns out, Einstein is not only intelligent but also very caring!
It’s amazing that the parrot was able to say such a fitting phrase for the situation. Was it staged? Or perhaps, have parrots learned to understand our language?
