Whose cat? What to do if neighbor’s pets trespass onto your property?

Remove unfamiliar whiskers from your garden!

You will surely remember a situation when in the morning you found a peacefully sleeping cat on your porch. However, the cat doesn’t belong to you. What problems can arise from furry neighbors? Besides the fact that cats catch birds beneficial for your garden, they can also spread unpleasant diseases. How can you deter these cheeky felines? We will share a few effective and harmless methods.

Repellents.

Cats are very sensitive to strong smells. Prepare a simple spray for your garden if cats have developed a habit of trampling your plants. Dissolve mustard powder in a liter of water, add cinnamon and hot pepper. You can also add some dried garlic and sharp essential oils that you can find. Then it’s simple: spray the soil where the cat has made its toilet. After a week of regular spraying, you will notice that the unwelcome guest avoids your property.

Vinegar tricks.

Another irritating factor for cats is the strong smell of vinegar. Cats stay away from this smell as much as possible. You just need to soak small pieces of cloth in vinegar essence – the stronger the solution, the better – and then distribute them around your property, especially in the areas where cats frequently rest. Try it for a few weeks, and you will no longer notice these audacious furry guests in your garden or yard.

Plants.

Plants with strong odors can also be used as “cat deterrents.” The most unpleasant scents for cats are eucalyptus, lavender, and lemon balm. Feel free to plant them prominently in your garden so that the bold intruder cannot come to terms with this grass in its favorite spot.
